My Response To Corporate Democrats

My E-Mail Response To Nancy Pelosi

I don’t normally like to share personal information, but I changed that a bit recently with my plea for help, encouraged by my wife, for our sweet disabled cat, Scooter:

And now I’ve decided to post something else personal, an exchange of e-mails I had with Corporate Democrats today:

xxxxxxxxxxxxx@optonline.net, 2:38PM

To dccc@dccc.org:

We need corporate democrats to retire and to transform the party into a party of caring liberals who will fight the heartless Capitalists and re-establish democracy in the U.S. If we pay attention we can see that kissing Wall Street ass like the current powers in the party are doing only helps the wealthy manipulators.

Only rats win in a rat race.

Let’s FINALLY evolve beyond the pathetic selfishness of attaining personal wealth at the expense of others and create a just system in which everyone has enough access to resources to at least live in relative dignity. We don’t all need (or want) to be millionaires like the old school enablers of economic oppression believe. Some of us care about someone other than ourselves.

Try it, you might like it.

R, I want you to hear this directly from me:

Your valuable input is the key to making sure our Democratic Majority is fortified for years to come.

I have to tell you how grateful I am for the 6O,582 grassroots Democrats who took the time to complete my November Priorities survey.

But sadly, with just 11 hours before I close my survey for the month, I’m still missing 8 responses from 10019.

That’s why I needed to reach out to you one final time — on a Saturday, no less — to make sure you had the opportunity to give me your feedback.

I know I can count on you, R.

Will you be one of the responses I need before midnight? >>

With gratitude,

Nancy

Thank you for your thoughtful response to my critical November Priorities Survey!

I need you to know your input is the key to my strategy to fortify my Democratic Majority for years to come.

That’s why I have one more favor to ask you:

Will you forward my survey to 3 friends and ask them to complete my survey too?

  1. If I interviewed her I’d ask if she’d prefer Trump to Sanders or Warren.

  2. I’m sure she wouldn’t prefer the parasite over Elizabeth Warren since trump hates her (and most women) so much, but if it came down to Bernie Sanders (who should have won in 2016) and the psycho I’m not sure. She’s so pro-Wall Street and receives so much money from corporate donors she’d probably do everything in her power to prevent a Sanders nomination.

If she hadn’t dismissed impeachment for so long, trump would have been impeached by the House by now and be facing a trial in the Senate.

  3. Shift, I get the impression that they didn’t even read your email. Now that you’re on their email list, you’ll be hearing a lot from them from here onward.

Last elections the DNC totally disregarded the peoples’ support for Bernie Sanders and focused on their own choice. I fear that they plan to do the same in 2020 with the same result.

  4. You’re right, Rosaliene. They definitely didn’t read my reply. I know that for a fact because of a follow up e-mail I received today. Although, interestingly, this e-mail doesn’t have Nancy Pelosi’s name on it:

“Thanks for completing your survey today.

We have one more favor to ask: Will you forward this to 3 friends? Ask them to share their thoughts via our November Priorities Survey, too.

Crazy, isn’t it? 🙂 Apparently surveys aren’t for finding out what constituents care about, they’re just tools for filling mailing lists.

Yes, I’m sure they’ll do the same, though it might be more difficult this time around. Hillary Clinton was a knee-jerk decision by millions of voters in 2016. The logical Wall Street choice would be Biden, but I think there are more people paying attention this election. At least I hope that’s the case.

As far as us being hit with the same result, I still can’t believe the GOP expects 1) that trump won’t be impeached by the House and 2) that impeachment won’t kill his chance of winning the election. I’ve always assumed they’d get to a certain point in time in which they’d have to decide that either they can prevent impeachment in some amazing (scary) way or they’ll finally have their “Howard Baker moment” and withdraw support, scrambling to find a replacement nominee. I believe the fact that trump is a violent, deranged gangster scares a lot of republicans into panicking and being indecisive. Fear is a strong motivator. In this case it’s incredibly destructive.

  5. As a long time fundraiser for the NZ Green Party, I hate to break it to your, but the the main reason for sending these surveys out is to compile a fundraising database. If you open the email, you get put on the “soft” ask list and if you respond you get assigned to the “hard” ask list.

  6. Yes, even the good guys (i.e.,Bernie) end every survey with an opportunity to donate.

  7. At least Bernie is worth donating to. I hope Pelosi retires and a progressive takes her seat.
