Stupidity In The U.S.: Is It On The Rise?

If anyone needs additional proof that ignorance, stupidity and apathy are a serious problem in the United States of Corporations, just take a look at the video at the end of this post.

Capitalism feeds on, and in turn, breeds these vulgar, pitiful traits. It’s a vicious cycle, cannibalistic in nature.

Since the days of Edward Bernays, people in this nation of pathetically brain-deadened automatons have been conditioned by corporate rulers to sleepwalk through “life” and accept whatever is given them: gilded cages, mind-numbing infotainment, twisted perspectives on need and desire, obedience flags to wave, freedom in brands of toothpaste, but not elections…

Somnambulance is the state of existence of a majority of the population. It’s amazing that a society that considers itself civilized could so easily and effectively be turned into a virtual cemetery of zombies floating along on a wave of ignorance like so much flotsam and jetsam.

Are there truly adults in this country who don’t understand the meaning of a police state? Or the implictions of what that signifies? Are there people who don’t know what Nazism is? Are we becoming nothing more than human detritus?

Instead of continuing to rant, I’ll let the video provide a possible answer.

  1. Poignant, astute, and much needed commentary in this post. Yes, Americans – as a whole – are all of those things. We are witnessing the unstoppable crumbling of a once great society. And, because it is so integral to the larger global community, the demise of the U.S. could bring down human civilization as well.

  2. Yes, the U.S. is a bloated corpse of INhumanity devoid of compassion and intelligence. However, having the world’s most formidable military makes it a global player and integral to the survival of the human race. Unfortunately.
